"I booked a stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sighisoara - Cavaler through Expedia. Upon arrival, the receptionist clearly told us that we did not have a reservation and that the hotel was fully booked. Showing her the booking confirmation from Expedia did not change her position. After some discussion with the receptionist — who was not helpful at all — we were told to contact Expedia ourselves to resolve the issue and find another place to stay for the night. We ended up calling Expedia five times, navigating endless automated menus before finally reaching a real person. In the end, we had to find a new place to stay late at night on our own. Although I received a refund after four days, I would never book with Expedia again. It cost me a lot of time and energy to fix their mistake."

"Our flight was delayed, our car booking delayed and Google got us lost up a mountain but the host persevered finding us at 1am to guide us to the villa. Adrian is a superhost for sure. He gave information, answered calls immediately, whatever I asked he provided. He even washed and polished my car as mountain dusty at bear sanctuary. The home was immaculate, with views to die for, bedding towels and hair dryer provided. Internet/WiFi, road a dirt track but what a ride seeing mountains, running hills and valleys - the local cows with bells, horse and carriages, dogs, cats, birds that roam freely, it was a delight. When meeting him from airport don't venture off the main road if Google tells you to. I ended up a mountain pitch black and got stuck having to come back down backwards. Not fun! Adrian meets you in a carpark near a memorial and childrens park, so no need to worry. You can guarantee he'll be there. Thanks Adrian I couldn't of asked for more. "

"The hotel was in a superb location with stunning views. We enjoyed the stay and loved the alfresco experience in the square in the evening with lights and coziness. The choice of breakfast was simple but we loved the freshly cooked omelette which set us up for the day wandering around the citadel. The only gripe we had was hair on the salami tray but it happens when you have buffet breakfast with guests. "

"The actual hotel didn't match the photos, it was an outdated, dusty and old hotel. The room were newly renovated, however they were not fully ready and they were smelling as fresh paint. There was no restaurant by the lake, as in the photos. Also, there is no access to the lake. The food wasn't great. In the morning, there was no running water in the entire hotel."
