The area itself is a bit rough and not our usual preference, as we typically lean toward Hill Country stays.Guests should be aware that dogs and chickens can be noisy, trains pass at night, the master bedroom is a walk-through without a lock, and a caretaker family lives on the grounds. That said, the property is private from neighbors, fairly priced, and full of character. Good value for travelers prioritizing proximity to the base."
