Translators Cottage: Family-friendly Stay in Lancaster County

  • Reserve this cute cottage as home-base for your tour of Lancaster County. Prepare meals in the modern kitchen while your children enjoy the backyard and swings. This country home has easy access to Route 222 and the PA Turnpike making it a quick drive from many attractions. Take in the farmland view from the backyard, or stroll to Springside chip-and-putt golf just up the road. Antiquing in Adamstown (the antique capital) is only 10 minutes away. Or go hiking and bird-watching at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area.

    Although there is no TV, free Wi-Fi is provided. Or unplug and enjoy the games and books!

    Notice: The stairs to the second story are very steep. Those with poor balance should not plan on sleeping on the second story.

    For your safety, there are cameras monitoring the driveway front and rear, and the front entry. There are no cameras inside.

    This is the prior home of a family on a Bible Translation project in Mexico. Enjoy their cozy home while supporting their mission!

This house was so lovely and peaceful .The Host are attentive and made us feel at home . We walked into this home after a long day of driving to a welcoming note and treats left for our family . I personally appreciated all the scripture around the home . We had a blessed stay.

Wonderful Place to Stay

We enjoyed our stay. Our grandchildren loved the swingset and toys in the home. We had a crazy wedding week, and this home so was nice to come back and relax to. We loved all the little touches that made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend

Wonderful Cottage

This cottage is super cute and very nice for a getaway. We stayed to go to Shocktober and it was a perfect place as it was less than 15 minutes from the house. It was clean and the hosts left plenty of snacks and water for us. I would highly recommend this place.

Home away from home

It felt like home as soon as we walked in. Very clean, smelled good and had everything you would need to feel comfortable and welcomed. The beds were comfortable as well. We would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in the area and will most certainly stay there again.

Sisters Weekend

My sisters and I came to the Lancaster area for a weekend get away. We enjoyed our stay at the Translators Cottage very much. It was very clean and well stocked. Plenty of room and very cozy.

What a Blessing!

We loved our stay here, perfect for our four kids! They loved the swings outside, and all the toys and games inside. The thoughtful snacks and touches just made it feel like home. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful home and hosts!

This charming home was perfect for our get away! We enjoyed the gracious snacks, personal note, fire pit in the back yard and the decor throughout the house. We especially liked the world map on the wall, and the request that we pin the places that we lived! Highly recommend!

Wonderful birthday/mother's day weekend

Everything about this property was on point. The beds were very comfortable, we had EVERYTHING we needed and then some. Dean and Christine really pay attention to the details and it shows. We would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

Great house and location - within driving distance of many little towns. Many amenities. Very clean and welcoming. Stairs to second floor - very steep, but that was all disclosed before. Quaint house. We all really enjoyed our stay - would come back.
