We never received a check in email. We messaged the host an hour before arriving and then called and messaged once we arrived. We didn’t hear back from the host until a few hours after the 3:00pm check in. Since we never received check in instructions and couldn’t get a hold of the host it took us a while to figure out how to get in the house in 100 degree weather with two little kids. The house itself is not very clean, there were literal bugs in the bed. The sheets were folded on the bed, with expectation that you will make your own bed. The biggest hassle was upon leaving you are expected to wash and dry all bed sheets towels, etc. The dishwasher was full of dishes we are assuming from the previous person who stayed. It feels like the host wants to get by doing the least amount of work possible. There were spiderwebs and dust throughout the house in obvious places that haven’t been touched in a while. The walls are peeling and dirty. One couch had an unpleasant smell to it. The pillows are pancakes, and the beds not the most comfy. He does supply some towels, but they are very old and obviously used. There are no wash cloths. Towels are located in a random spot in the kitchen so make sure you grab some before showering or better yet bring your own. There are junk drawers and a lot of stuff that makes me feel like he was living there and just decided to clean up the bare minimum so he could make some money. The location is great though.
