"I never write reviews, but I had no choice in this matter. But my 06/08/26 stay experience in room # 16 necessitated this review. As such, this was my second AND LAST time staying here. I stayed in # 1 in April 2023, finding it rustic but harmless because I knew I was in the middle of nowhere in the desert. That night in 2023, the room was basic and in the order I would expect for where I was at the time. This time in 2026… absolutely abhorrent! Mortally embarrassed to introduce my family to what I remember as a lovely place a few years ago but in a sad state of affairs today. Take note and fix the following Panamint Springs Resort:
1.) A bathroom door barely on its hinges
2.) A wad of hair in the shower that didn’t match any of our hair colors
3.) An open climate control system with exposed parts
4.) Horrendously stained and yellowed towels
5.) Cobwebs/spider webs EVERYWHERE
6.) Exposed windows in rooms with no curtains
7.) Stained chair in main bedroom
8.) Handrails missing off the porch
9.) The guests staying with me stated unclear and odiferous water coming out of the shower
10.) Outlets almost non-functioning or needing their covers
11.) WAYYYYYY OVERPRICED… over $300 for what ultimately looked like the Munsters house tv set.
Do better Panamint Springs Resort! I’ve no reason to look forward to sunset views of Telescope Peak from the resort when I know afterwards I’ll be walking into that embarrassing mess. Please do better and maybe… just maybe I’ll come back."
