Cart cottage is set in the most beautiful surroundings, the views from the large garden were stunning and perfect for an evening meal as a family. "We needed a comfortable, spacious property for 10 university friends in their seventies, for a reunion. This worked well with all en-suite bedrooms and the huge communal spaces. The property is exceptionally well equipped and located in a very picturesque spot, with lots to do nearby. At first we were concerned about the proximity of the neighbouring holiday lets, but it was not an issue at all - we heard some of the neighbours whilst sitting in the garden - but it was distant and unintrusive. There is a huge garden to the rear nd, though not obvious from the website, a well-equipped siiting area to one side which has distant views over the reservoir and is completelly private. We were delighted by the huge number of housemartins nesting in the eaves and who performed aerial stunts all day - and the hares in the adjoining field. The only minor issue was that the noise transmission from the first floor is quite intrusive, but it only really affect the occupants of the ground floor bedroom. And a really minor point that it would have been useful for there to be some salt and pepper and a small bottle of cooking oil - the only omisssions in an otherwise superbly equipped property."

"Easy to find. Lovely location. We were blessed with lovely weather too. Photos don’t do it justice. All bedrooms and en-suites just perfect. Enclosed garden for the dogs. I found the fridge freezer space a bit of a challenge but that’s my fault, not our hosts ! There was a small fridge under the stairs which we plugged in to use as well. Marvellous space. Just great!"

"Fantastic cottage, felt very homely. Very well equipped, everything was carefully thought out for your comfort. The cake was an added bonus on arrival. Marked down on location, the views were good, as the cottage was more rural than expected and we had to travel miles just to get milk. Very peaceful, although we didn't see much wildlife apart from the geese flying over."

"Had a lovely weeks stay at Clover Cottage. Very quiet and restful. It had everything you could need including a hot tub which was lovely after a days sightseeing. The big comfy bed was also a bonus. We found Jo, the owner, to be very helpful with her knowledge of the local area. All in all a wonderful break away and would have no hesitation in recommending Clover Cottage."

"What a lovely week I’ve had at this beautiful lodge, I don’t know where to start with how great the place was, it is perfect for time away to just relax and unwind, the lodge is equipped with high quality furniture and everything was provided that you would expect from a luxury lodge and more, we were definitely spoilt.We did rearrange the lounge furniture as it wasn’t making use of all the space we thought, we moved it back once we were leaving, we noticed our neighbours had moved their sofas too.The welcome supplies were very much appreciated, our dogs were even left treats too. I wanted to stay there forever. There’s only three lodges and if you wanted somewhere peaceful to go for a family gathering or even a girly weekend the lodges would be perfect.I have a special birthday coming up and I shall be booking this again and again and again."
