"The cottage is very cute. The layout was very good and there was enough room for all six of us. The view was incredible and we never got tired of watching the lake through the large windows! The sauna was comfortable and the teenagers loved heating it and then swimming in the lake. The bonus point was that there was a cafe by the water and some restaurants at the hotel - all at the short walking distance. The place surpassed all my expectations."

"We really enjoyed our one night stay at Valtionhotelli. There are actually 2 parts of the hotel to stay in, either the castle or the outbuilding which can be accessed through a tunnel from the castle. The receptionist, Wenla, was as welcoming as could be and very helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate with a large variety of options. The sauna is located in a separate suite which was great as it allowed us to maximise use of the adjoining outdoor terrace too. "
