"Was very disappointed to walk in and discover the common areas reeked of cigarette smoke. After contacting the host they agreed to send the cleaner back who left a passive-aggressive note telling us she had cleaned thoroughly already. The rest of the rooms were decent but left much to be desired. The linens were dingy.The location is great. Short walk to the main areas and next to transit to the rest of the Wachau Valley."

Negatives: Pool access: key card did not work; when raised, staff insisted it did rather than resolving the issue. Room facilities: no tea/coffee, no water provided, and fridge not functioning. Ventilation: no effective ventilation, making the room uncomfortable in warm conditions. Temperature control: central heating still active with no ability to adjust, despite ~24°C outside. Bathroom: bath only, no shower — not practical, particularly for elderly guests. Room quality: no balcony, view onto car park, and overall lack of comfort or atmosphere (minimal décor, dated feel). Room allocation: the room felt like one that is used less frequently, raising questions about consistency in how rooms are assigned (e.g. weekday vs weekend stays).
