There is a paper mill a few miles away and the smell was terrible and seemed to linger inside the house. We took candles but it was still pretty strong. It was not like that last year when we came to visit so I am not sure why it was so bad this year. I would definitely rent this home again. It was a great deal and our group loved it. "
