"Clean, friendly staff, easy check in, and overall pleasant! Note that breakfast is not available in the summer, which we learned when we arrived. Also, the beds are very springy and uncomfortable. We were super tired so slept fine anyways, but definitely consider if it’s important to you! Overall an easy and cheap stay."

"Très bel hébergement! Il manquait peut être un peu de vaisselle pour cuisiner. De plus l’annonce indiquait pour 6 personnes mais n’avais de la place que pour 5 personnes (par chance nous étions que 5). Mise a part ces petits détails tout était parfait. Nous avions oubliés une montre et le personnelle c’est occuper de tout pour nous l’envoyer par la poste! Nous avons grandement apprécier le temps qu’ils ont pris pour nous répondre rapidement et procéder a l’envoie!

"Our stay at Lake Toya Nonokaze Resort was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. My boys still talk about how much they loved this hotel and everything there was to experience around Lake Toya.
The rooms were very large and comfortable, and having a private onsen right in our room overlooking the lake was unforgettable. The views were spectacular, and watching the fireworks show over the lake every night made each evening feel special.
The breakfasts and dinners were some of our best memories from the entire stay. The variety and quality of the food were incredible, with different stations preparing fresh dishes right in front of you. From freshly made Japanese souffle pancakes and noodles to local specialties and fresh apple juice, every meal felt like an experience rather than just a hotel buffet. My boys absolutely loved it, and we looked forward to breakfast and dinner every day.
There is also so much to experience around the lake. The hotel has E-bikes available, which are a fantastic way to explore the beautiful paths, scenery, artwork, and sculptures surrounding Lake Toya. We took a boat ride across the lake to the island, rode the gondola up Mt. Usu, and hiked while enjoying incredible views of the volcano and surrounding landscape. We also loved discovering the hot springs throughout the town.
My family said it was absolutely amazing, and I completely agree. We would return without hesitation."
"This was a fantastic wooden cabin with an amazing view of Lake Toya over pretty garden flowers from the small balcony and large bathtub with huge window. Trees blocked the view of the fireworks but you can see those from the parking lot just steps away. We had two single beds downstairs and our daughter had her own bed in a mezzanine up a slightly scary ladder. Mattresses were a bit too hard for my liking (we have luxury firm at home). Toilet was in a lovely wooden room, with heated seat and very warm cleaning jets, with sink in a separate area between toilet and bathroom. Shower was available in same room as the tub, you just let it wash all over the floor, which drains after. There was a fridge and kettle with tiny cups, and a two person sofa and table, which were useful as there wasn’t much floor space to open our luggage. Breakfast is at a time you designate, either and incredible Japanese bento box (composed of miso soup, rice, and varied different smoked fish, composed vegetable salad, meat salad and tofu each day) or western (a variation each day of eggs, bacon, white toast, vegetable (including burdock root one day), Mac and cheese, salad) and both came with a different fruit after. All delicious and home made, I ate all of my bento box despite only eating oatmeal at home! Owner was very friendly with limited English but was able to communicate by pointing and/or translate app."
"Very nice hotel! Comfortable rooms that are very clean. The breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were excellent and well worth the add on fee. The onsen is nice but a bit small and they should leave the onsen open till 10 am in the morning so you can get breaky they take a last soak before 11 am checkout. Stayed in summer so the rates were very reasonable. They had construction going but the improved rooms were fantastic. There is a ski field right next door and you can ski right up to the hotel and they have ski lockers. If I skied I’d stay there. It is out of the way so you need a car, there is a bus but I highly suggest wheels. Overall very happy with my three nights there fishing the local rivers."
"A wonderfully restful stay overlooking the stunning Lake Toya. The views from the room were spectacular, and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to disconnect and recharge. The onsen experience was especially relaxing, complemented by attentive service by the staff and management and comfortable facilities. A great place to pause, enjoy nature, and appreciate the slower pace of Hokkaido. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Great bar but Only thing- dining options could be better. But the nearby restaurants made up for that (when they were open)"
"Our stay at this Hilton was very pleasant. All the hotel staffs that we had contacts with all speak English, until many hotels that we have stayed in Japan for the past two months. The hotel staffs were also very friendly and helpful. We were particularly impressed with one hotel staff name Winter, her name tag said she is the hotel’s Journey Ambassador. Winter’s service, attitude and the way she treated us was EXCEPTIONAL!
We booked a very nice corner room with great views, only one room like ours per hotel floor. However, there was no internet signal in our room. Winter not only brought in a hotspot device, but she was very patient and courteous, and helped each of us connected with the hotel’s wifi.
Then we met Winter again in the hotel restaurant, Winter was not only attentive, but she followed up with us, treated us like true VIPs. She was sincere and genuinely nice. She made sure that not only every need was provided but every unspoken desire was satisfied.
Truly exceptional and extraordinary service. The encounter with this one hotel staff truly made us want to stay at this Hilton again should we come back to Hokkaido in the future.
Thank you Winter, you made my wife and my 88 year old mother-in-law fekt so welcomed and that we are grateful for your service and your hospitality. Hilton should be proud to have an employee like Winter. I wish all my employees are like Winter!!!"
