"This is a beautiful slice of paradise. Judy and her husband were so welcoming and hospitable. It was very convenient home base for our visit to Hobbiton and Waitamo. We just wished we could stay longer!"

"We can't rate the bus as it was unavailable on our arrival and in the barn for major maintenance. However we were offered a room in the adjacent lodge which was very nice - just not what we expected at the time of booking."

"Lovely place! Exactly as described and very nice. Didn’t have to message the host once! Small warning: the house does not have AC. We went in the fall, so it wasn’t too bad, but I’d imagine that it could get brutal during the summertime. Overall, fantastic experience and a wonderful place with a beautiful view."

"Friendly staff, nice room in general. Getting to the facility was difficult due to recent traffic changes. Despite instructions, I got lost almost every time returning to the room. Bed matress was very well worn, body indents present on each side, probably time for a refresh. Pillows were flat. Large roach in the shower and bug bites while in the room, hopefully just mosquitos."

"Beautiful and peaceful, with total privacy. This cottage had everything we needed, with the added bonus of farm animal visitors on misty mornings. Easy travel to local highlights, close to town but far enough away to feel like a hidden sanctuary. Loved it"

Our only regret is not having more time to utilise the kayaks and take in the sights of the river.The house is very modern and comfortable and where very surprised with a well stocked fridge of homemade goodies for our breakfast the next day. Communication with the host was easy and they were very responsive to any questions and requests.Would love to return here soon. "
