"The property is undergoing renovation so dust and equipment were a factor. Beautiful old building. All parking is valet except street parking. Breakfast was extensive variety. Room was great. "

"My room was really dirty upon arrival. The bottom of my white socks were black from the carpet, and the bathroom has peeling and scraped paint. The bathroom floors look like they had not been cleaned in a while also."

"I stayed for 1 night. There is charge for parking $20 per night. The restaurant closes at 10pm.The room was clean."

"They are doing a lot of construction around hotel right now, so if you're sensitive to sounds starting at 5am then I suggest stay elsewhere until they finish."

"Sparkling clean. Everything we needed was there for us. The floors were clean however we did feel a slightly sticky film. It could have been some leftover cleaner because the floors were clean."

"The hotel is old with nostalgia. There were no amenities specifically for AlphaKappaAlpha as our 5 day convention was going on. The hotel can really use more upgrading. There was no complementary breakfast and I was told we should go next door to the Fairfield hotel for that. The food on the rooftop of the Elayton was very good. Over all, I give the hotel 3 stars. I was a little disappointed because the hotel did not honor the AKA convention rate and it was not worth the cost. "
