"The hotel was a beautiful historic building and parking was free and plentiful. Bed was comfortable and excellent shower! Was in the center of town and could although there were many shuttered storefronts, there were enough shops to walk to. Ate at the in-house pub both nights. Don’t miss the pimento fritters!"

"We have stayed in many vacation properties, and my husband and I were completely WOWED! The photos and video were lovely but the they did not capture the absolute perfection of the property. I was still noticing wonderful little details three days into our stay! The peace and quiet, comfort, and overall relaxing environment was exactly what we needed to unwind. We strolled around the farm and enjoyed the fresh air while surrounded by nature's beauty. We were also able to meet the many adorable animals that live on the farm as well. The hosts were friendly, kind, and invested in making sure that we had everything we needed. We even had a meet and greet-facilited by our hostess- with their two gorgeous horses, Wesley and Ani! Not to be forgotten: it was an incredible value for the money as well. It was difficult to leave and get back to the rat race, but we are very excited to go back and stay!"

"We stayed at Mother Allie’s House for two nights and really enjoyed our visit. The house is very clean, and the bathrooms and kitchen are updated and well cared for. The kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and communication from the host was superb throughout.What makes this property truly special is the history. The hosts have clearly taken great care to create a meaningful experience for guests, decorating and furnishing the home with items connected to the Smith and the Carter families. We especially appreciated the information they provided about each room, including whose room it was, details about the furnishings, and fun facts like the BB in the wall in the front bedroom.One of the coolest moments was looking at a photo of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter in the very room where we were standing. We also loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. It rained while we were in town, but it was so peaceful to sit on the porch and listen to the rain.The owners have created a truly unique experience, especially for anyone visiting Plains to learn more about the Carters and their family. Highly recommend."

"Breakfast was just ok. Not much variety. Room was ok as far as cleanliness. Bathroom tub was poor. It was so slick I could not bathe. And the bottom was rusty and had some kind of dirty glue residue? Did not use pool. The staff attendant was very helpful Saturday night when I checked in. The room did not have an item I had specifically called and asked for but when we arrived no such item. He upgraded to a room with item."

"Room was very nice had problems with the shower hard to turn on could have been a better breakfast but it's Continental staff was very welcoming"

"The air conditioner was great but could not get the tv to work. We were both afraid of the door to join the rooms."

"I stayed for 5 nights and my towels and wash cloths were only replaced on the first night other than that they never came in the room too clean or replace anything. There were stains everywhere the toilet seat, the fridge had stains and chunks of old spilt food, the blankets and sheets and all were covered in stains. The rooms look nothing like the “remodeled” pictures your seeing in the listing."
