"A friend and I stayed here for three nights in early October. We wanted a quiet stop between the business of Rome and Sorrento. La Barrera did not disappoint. The town of Priamo is charming. "

"We had a great stay here. The views are simply amazing and the pool area is lovely to pass a relaxing few hours. We thoroughly recommend staying at Villa La Ventana for a wonderful place to explore both the Amalfi coast and Sorrento peninsula. You need a car to make the most of the location but well worth being away from the main tourist hustle & bustle. A friendly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay at this family-owned establishment from the three brothers who between them offer...

"An amazing view! Such friendly and helpful staff. Giorgio was so kind and gave great suggestions. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful! Highly recommend!"
"The view from our room was great. The overall rating of the hotel should be 3 star. The bed was really dated - the mattress seemed old in style - no cushion - due to the lack of comfort and the pillows were flimsy. We paid for the room with the view and you’re really just paying for the view. You don’t have a legit balcony..it’s a walk way and it’s shared. The style needs an a design uplift into 2025 from the 90s. The hotel offers massages (buy the bar) but they don’t offer robes and slippers in the rooms. Again another reason why I’d give it a 3 star.
Overall the hotel ratings in the Amalfi area seemed really skewed and it’s hard to tell what you’ll get. "
"This place is amazing! My husband said it was the best place he has ever stayed. The breakfast is amazing, so much variety and can be different every day. The rooms are so clean and just nice and the views, you can't beat it. This is family run and they are all great! Praiano is about a 10 min walk but not bad and they also will drive you there. I would 10/10 recommend this place and go back. "
"We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special — every single person we encountered was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuine. You can tell they take great pride in creating a welcoming, luxurious atmosphere.
The hotel itself is stunning — beautifully designed, with breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast that we’ll never forget. We spent many evenings relaxing on our terrace, taking in the scenery with a cocktail in hand (the drinks were amazing — expertly made and creative!). The food was equally wonderful — fresh, flavorful, and elegantly presented.
One of the biggest perks was the complimentary shuttle service to both Praiano and Positano, which made exploring the area so easy and stress-free. We loved being tucked away in such a peaceful location but still just a short ride from everything.
Every detail of our stay felt thoughtful and personal. This hotel truly exceeded every expectation and made our honeymoon unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back one day!"
"It’s a beautiful property. We just visited and the season is nearly over so we were not able to use the pool or the grotto. The breakfast was very nice and you could ask for made to order eggs, fresh juice and coffee. We had amazing massages outside on a terrace arranged by the staff. They also went out of their way to help us with our private transfers. It was so peaceful, It felt like a true slice of paradise!"
