"We had the most amazing stay at Canhoto Douro, where we felt right at home and like part of their wonderful family. The service was outstanding and the surroundings must be experienced firsthand — it was peaceful and idyllic. The family was so loving and welcomed us with open arms, while at the same time doing an incredible job both with the animals on the farm and with us as guests. "The place was difficult to find but with some assistance from a local we were able to locate it. The hospitality was good and room clean but unfortunately there was no heating in the room, were very cold first night. Without asking the 2nd night an additional blanket was added but we were colder than the first night. The next morning we had breakfast, I tried locating the owner could not find her,so I left her note letting her know that we were seeking other arrangements and would not be staying...
