Shore Hotel

"Excellent stay in Balintore. Having stayed in the Balintore inn a number of times, this is a great addition to the area. Staff first class, rooms amazing. Sadly I didn’t get the chance to try the restaurant but will definately be back. The only minor comment which I hope the hotel fixes is the lights in the toilet as they are all on sensors and the timers are too sensitive, so found myself having a shower and brushing my teeth intermittently in the dark with the lights going on and off. I hope they fix, but this is a very small issue which can easily be addressed."

"The property is decorated with vintage and antique items in the lobby and the guest rooms. The staff is attentive and the hotel surroundings are beautiful . I enjoyed the front garden and the beautiful sitting room."
Royal Marine Hotel

"We were travelling from Australia on the first leg of the nc 500. Beautiful village. Hotel very quiet generally but our room extremely quiet. Good comfortable bed. Adequate sized room. Staff friendly and helpful. Dinner enjoyable and big breakfast. Good sized car park. Lots of quiet areas to sit and relax. You may find the stairs a challenge with big suitcases. A very pleasant stay."

"We enjoyed our one night stay, to celebrate my birthday, here very much. It was extremely hot but that wasn't the hotels fault. We had a fan in our room but were still very hot. We ate in the hotel and the food was good. Comfortable bed and large room with shower over the bath. We will definitely be back for a longer stay."

"Lift was not working but hotel did advise us ahead of stay which was nice, in case we wanted to switch. No A/C in hotel room, so it was a bit too warm and hard to sleep, even with a small fan. Otherwise, staff, hotel, room and grounds were lovely."

"The view from the dining room (across the first tee at Royal Dornoch, and over the Dornoch Firth) is stunning. Food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent, and the staff were very helpful. Our only disappointment was the view from our bedroom, featuring a fire escape and staff walkway. Not important as we were only staying one night, but I will check the room before booking when I return."
