"Our home base for northern Olympic NP and the location was perfect for that. Room was clean and pretty well updated except for the bed cover - threadbare. The ac filter was spotless which is rare! Bathroom clean, lobby clean and reception was fine. I really wish there was at least a complementary muffin available in the am! Don't miss Shirley's Cafe for excellent breakfast & lunch food. This hotel would have cost $75 or less in any other town, but location is everything."

"Not worth the $200 a night. Maybe $60 a night tops. The door had no secondary lock, the room felt damp and smelled like chemicals, the towels were tiny and cheap and the sheets were stained. I stayed here because I needed something last minute but I'll never stay here again, I'd rather camp in a tent."

"The WiFi doesn’t work and only 1 of us (of 4) could shower before the hot water ran out…both are apparently known issues. Walls are thin and the road noise is loud. Of the 7 places we are staying for this trip, this was the most expensive so we expected a little more. That said, it was clean, close to shops and restaurants and easy to get into the NP. With a tankless water heater and a robust internet plan, we would have rated it higher."

"We would not recommend staying at the Royal Victorian Motel. It's a given that you're going to pay premium prices for a place so close to Olympic National Park. However, for $230 per night, we expect a clean room and for things to work. On the first night, we discovered that the shower wasn't working and it was too late to call someone to come and fix it.
