Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We booked our stay at Laavanya Inn, Pokhara, through Expedia, and our booking clearly included breakfast. However, upon arrival, the hotel staff informed us that breakfast was not available because the restaurant had apparently been closed for the past two years. This was extremely disappointing, as breakfast was included in the price we paid when making the reservation. I contacted Expedia to resolve the issue, and although they were initially unable to assist, their staff independently double-checked the booking and confirmed that breakfast was indeed included. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the hotel staff, who were extremely rude and unhelpful when we raised the issue. There was no apology, no attempt to offer an alternative, and no willingness to take responsibility for advertising a service that had not been available for two years. Guests should not be paying for services that the hotel cannot provide. If breakfast is no longer available, the hotel should ensure that its booking information is updated accordingly. Overall, a very disappointing experience due to the misleading booking information and the extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend this hotel.
