"Amazing energy and community here at Bajo Las Estrellas. The breeze at night is nice with being higher up from ground level, and the breakfast served everyday is an extra blessing! As this eco camp is filled with life and love, you can truly feel how much effort goes into maintaining this place to be the safe haven it is. Cook your own food in the communal kitchen, leave a bag of your perishable food in the fridge.. you have all you need for an affordable price here. It’s a 5 min / 8 min walk...

"Loved my stay at Quinta Bella, everyone there was very friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay incredible from the lady that I checked in with, the guy that took us to our room, the cleaning ladies that clean our room, the girls at the spa, and all the waiters and the pool bar specially Daniel. Will definitely stay there again. I loved that our room had its own private pool, we also had access to the beach, and everything was at a decent walking distance. The restaurants there are delicious, and the massage I had at the spa was incredible. The room was really clean, and I also enjoyed the two pools that they have there besides the private one we had in our room. There were also two night while my stay that they had live music and one night we enjoyed movie night. They also have a well equipment gym to get your workout done. Highly recommend Quinta Bella for your stay in Huatulco."
"The grounds and building are excellent. Very clean and modern. Rooms are comfortable and have great amenities. Beds, linens and sheets/towels are nice as well. Beware, the standard rooms have NO view or deck area. They literally back onto a fairly busy walkway, which is your view. To upgrade, the cost is quite high. For the next level upgrade (Junior Suite) we paid $1400CAN for 6 nights.
Food was decent, the buffet was repetitive after 10 days. Some of the dishes that should have been warm or hot were not. The menu items were prepared fresh and definitely were better. Same with the breakfast....buffet was decent, menu items were much better. Drinks were all over the place. They had Dos XX on tap and many types of low grade hard alcohol. Mixed drinks were a crap shoot, unless you ordered something very simple. They had no drink menu, but I think that would be helpful so that the bartenders could all be trained to make drinks the same way.
Staff was similar to most places. Some good, some ok, some indifferent. We had a couple of experiences where we sat first, but were served/waited on after local couples were sat after us. This happened more than once. We also had to help ourselves to menus a few times while staff were talking amongst themselves and/or on their phones. Cleaning staff were excellent however!
All in all, a solid 3.5. For the original price we paid, plus the upgrade, the value just wasn't there. For our all in price, better choices exist."
"My room was perfect in every sense. The air conditioning kept it fresh. The king size bed was super comfortable and the pillows too. Honestly my stay here was completely worth it! "
"La Valise Mazunte is, without question, a stunning property. The design, the views, and the overall atmosphere are exceptional, and the food was a true highlight—the chef is superb and delivers a memorable culinary experience.
However, the service unfortunately falls short of what one would expect from a hotel with such potential. While the staff is genuinely kind and well-intentioned, the hotel feels understaffed and unable to deliver a luxury experience. There is no room service, no minibar in the rooms, and no poolside or beachside service, which makes the stay feel limited—especially given the remote location.
I booked this stay to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and arranging something as simple as a special meal proved unnecessarily difficult. Communication before arrival was slow and required multiple follow-ups, even through Instagram, just to get a response via WhatsApp.
During the stay, service remained inconsistent. The bartender was attentive, but overall service was slow, and staff seemed constrained in what they could offer. The wine selection is also very limited.
The rooms are comfortable, but attention to detail could improve. For example, our room was supposed to include a video projector (the only one on the property), but it was unavailable due to repairs, which we were only informed about upon arrival.
This is a hotel with incredible potential, but currently it feels like it delivers the bare minimum operationally."
"Le brunch de déjeuner contient tout ce que nous aimons, oeufs, bacon, fruits frais, brioche, confitures.
Le personnel est très aimable et nous servent avec plaisir.
Le bar est parfait et la limonade est excellente"
