6/10 Okay

"The parking lot is real dark. Kinda creepy when it is late. I didn't realize the front door was a pad that needed a code. They had a phone number to call so I had to call it to find out a code to get in. Then as soon as we get in the room the smoke detector was chirping. So I had to call again to get someone to come change the battery. That was at 4:30 pm. About 5:15 we had to leave to go to a graduation. We got back about 10:30 pm and it had not been replaced. We were tired and just wanted to go to bed. Once again I called the girl back and told her it was still not been fixed. She said she would call maintenance again. She called back about 10 minutes later and said she couldn't get ahold of anyone. She gave us an option of upgrading our room but it was upstairs and we were not able to do all the stairs. Then she said we could take the battery out. If I would have been by myself no way I could get it because the ceiling was to high. I was glad there was not an extreme emergency. I think it is ridiculous that there is no one you can talk to in person and no maintenance people available. The room was nice. It was a decent size room but the bathroom is real small. Barely enough room for one person to fit in there . Not sure if I will stay there again."

"The property is shown on Expedia as a four star. On a very good day, it would be a two star. Staff was excellent, if you could find them. When I checked in, one lady was working the front desk, inspecting rooms and serving ice cream in the ice cream shop. When I finally got hold of her, she was terrific but desperately needed help with all her duties."
