The Carriage House is a beautifully and thoughtfully renovated guest house located behind the famous Reymer House. The Reymer House is a National Historic Register built in 1883. The Reymer`s owned and operated a candy confectionery in Pittsburgh and were well-known for their drink mix Blennd which is still sold in local stores today

If you need to use the washer and dryer during your stay, please let us know before hand. It is in the connected garage and will need to be opened prior to your stay. The owner park their cars in the garage so be careful when opening the door.

We absolutely love living in historic Manchester! As one of Pittsburgh`s original neighborhoods, it`s easy to walk to local restaurants and shops. The surrounding homes are stunning.

The stadiums are within walking distance of the apartment. The North Side is a perfect location because it`s minutes from everything in the city!

We`re a few blocks from one of Pittsburgh`s largest park`s which hosts many events including the farmer`s market on Fridays in the summer/fall. Explore restaurants on Western Ave like Peppi`s and Nicky`s Thai. Visit nearby museums such as the Carnegie Science Center, Andy Warhol Museum, and Mattress Factory. Check out the beautiful North Shore with stadiums, music venues, and restaurants. Easily cross the river to downtown, Market Square, Strip District, Cultural District, Lawrenceville, and more.

We’ve had some past issues, so these rules are here to help keep everything running smoothly. If anything seems unclear or if you have any questions, just ask – we’re here to help!

House Rules:
Pre-Check-in Requirement: For security and verification purposes, we require all primary guests to submit a clear photo or scan of a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver`s license, passport) before we can send check-in details. This is a standard procedure and helps ensure a safe and secure stay for everyone.
No Smoking: Smoking (including vaping/e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited inside the unit and all common areas. A cleaning fee of at least $250 will be charged for any violation.
No Firearms: For the safety and security of all guests and the property, the possession of firearms or any other weapons is strictly prohibited on the premises.
No parties or events—let’s keep things low-key and relaxed.
No drugs or illicit behavior—safety and respect for everyone are key.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am—we strictly enforce this to ensure everyone gets a good night’s rest.
Registered guests only – No additional guests or overnight visitors unless they’re listed on your reservation.
Failure to report an issue directly to us first, to give us the opportunity to rectify it, will nullify any subsequent claims or complaints made to any booking platform.
Check-out: Check-out is 10:00 AM. Unauthorized late check-outs will be subject to a fee.
Damages: Please report any accidental damage immediately. Guests are responsible for the cost of repairs for damages caused during their stay.
Toilet paper only in the toilet—keeps the plumbing happy!

Age Requirement:
Guests must be 21 years or older.

Location Requirement:
We don’t rent to local residents of Pittsburgh – this helps us maintain a vacation-friendly atmosphere.

Fee Schedule:
$500 for removing any or all guests/occupants.
$500 for excessive noise.
$500 for smoking.
$500 for breaking any house rules.
$1000 for clogging toilets with inappropriate items like baby wipes or small objects.
$50 per hour for unauthorized late check-out.
$50 per person for unlisted guests or exceeding the booked number of guests.

We may remove any retaliatory reviews related to violations of these rules. Guests agree to cover any damages resulting from rule violations, including property damage, damage to common areas, and lost revenue due to canceled reservations.
