"From the very beginning, the Balsam Mountain Inn sang to me. I'd never been here before. I wanted a bed and breakfast near the Blue Ridge Parkway; and, yes, something affordable. The Inn is a HALF MILE from the Parkway, and the price was right for our mid-week getaway. Such an interesting, historic place. Between Waynesville & Sylva. So relaxing!"
"This is an awesome stop on a drive or full weekend getaway! The outdoor pool is awesome and options for ziplining, biking, and trails right out your door were perfect for us on our road trip. Food and bar area was wonderful. Beds and pillows were top of the line! Better than some five star resorts we have stayed at.
The property is a bit outdated and if they can just finish the renovation that has clearly been started on the main lobby and dining area this place would be perfect."
"Owner sorted out some hassles with the initial identification verification process that they require, but after that, everything was great and hassle free. Would stay here again."
"Very modern and trendy looking hotel. The atmosphere was great. I loved that we got tokens for welcome drinks. The pool was a nice extra. The Wildwood Still restaurant had a beautiful view and great drinks. The hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and galleries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again."
