"We transferred to Island Villas for our last night in Siargao hoping to make the final night of our honeymoon extra special. We noted this in our booking and communicated it to the front desk beforehand.
Upon arrival, the kuya assisting with our luggage was warm and attentive, but unfortunately that was the only genuine hospitality we experienced.
Check-in felt cold and unwelcoming. I asked if late checkout was possible while waiting for our airport transfer, and the response was simply, “750 pesos per hour, ma’am,” with no other options or suggestions offered.
We also arranged a ₱7,500 romantic beachfront dinner setup for 6 PM. Because of heavy rain and storm conditions, we asked if it could be cancelled or adjusted, only to find out the restaurant had no idea about our reservation at all despite prior coordination with the front desk.
Restaurant service was also disappointing. We had to repeatedly call staff for assistance, and even after appetizers arrived, we still had to ask for plates.
The next morning while waiting for our airport transfer, I asked the front desk where the van was, and the agent ignored me multiple times before speaking to security instead without acknowledging us.
For the amount we paid, nearly 3x more than the smaller villa we stayed at earlier in the trip, we expected much better hospitality and service.
Beautiful property, but unfortunately the service did not match the price."
"This resort is incredible. The staff were incredibly attentive and very knowledgeable. We met the owner Jason and he is an incredibly gracious host. He was very helpful and kind. He had a special dinner for us which was an incredible mix of Korean Filipino hybrid foods. We will definitely come and stay here again. It is about a 30 minute walk (5-6 min in a tricycle “tuk tuk”) from the proper town. Customer service was above and beyond. "
"very nice for SIargao. newer villas, clean, cold ac, nice pool, great resaurant, location , beach front and quiet.
Only issue now is they are building a hotel next door, contstruction all day. "
"The staff were so accommodating. I had to book this hotel very last minute as I was unable to continue to travel with my travel partner. The experience at Henry Kermit was wonderful. Every need and help I needed was met with caring and compassionate staff. High quality! Delicious restaurant on site! Charming yoga hut and surf school on site!"
"Family of 3 plus Grandma. We were very impressed to say the least. From the very spacious, tidy and clean Villas, to the extensive breakfast buffet with made to order dried fish delicacies to the very kind and responsive staff, everything was perfect. Even to the small details that they’ve thought of like the pot of clean water they placed at the steps leading to each villas to clean the sand off or them cooking the dried fish on a separate kitchen away from the breakfast area so guests wouldn’t have to smell it. Everything was truly impressive. "
"The accomodations was ok. Definitely not a resort in the true sense of a resort. It is obvious maintenance is not top of the list. Leaking face basin. tiolet seat was a mess etc."
