"Spent 4 nights here in August with my teen daughter and had the most amazing time. Beaches and pools were regularly cleaned. We used the heated pool which was comfortable. A jacuzzi would be a great add on! Boat house activities were great, recommended to book when you arrive as well as the restaurants if you are not doing half or full board. Breakfast variety was very good and replenished well. Service was great and there was no language barrier at all. Rooms were clean with modern amenities. Toilets were in a separate cubicle than the shower (probably a French influence thing) so washing hands was a bit of a hassle but it reduces bathroom traffic lol. Small point but relevant. Also I felt there could have been more activities. Overall it was a wonderful resort and would love to return for a week long relaxing stay."

"Staff is wonderful, except they way too busy at times and become too hectic and crazy. We Ate at Segala- Ibrahim chef is great. Food is excellent, ambiance great! Prefer different variety food during breakfast. After spending 6 days, gets tiring of all the same food. Great staff!!"

"The whole experience from checking in was fabulous, the rooms were clean and ready ahead of time, the staff were very friendly and polite and always at hand to help with any questions we had. The Spa was superb with all the different types of treatments available. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Mauritius to stay here, I would definitely like to go back for another holiday at this venue"

"Amazing hotel and rooms are great value for money in terms of size. However I think if guests are wanting more from food they perhaps need to be aware it’s quality over quantity in this hotel. Also please note other bigger hotels have more free kayaks and boats this has 1 so it gets booked quickly Other hotels have at least 20 boats for use"

"L'Oiseau de l'Océan was an amazing discovery. It was clean, well-kept and the staff were very helpful. The shuttle was a nice touch ensuring that trips to the beach and Cascavelle were easy. I also enjoyed the on-site sauna. My only complaint is that the wifi was weak and to make calls, I needed to step outside my room. I didn't mind much because I was on vacation and so didn't need to work. Special commendation goes to Jessica and Richard for going above and beyond."

"This is a generally well-maintained hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Although the rooms are a little worn and could use an update, everything else was excellent. The food was delicious in every restaurant we visited, and the wide, beautiful beach with plenty of sun loungers made our stay feel truly relaxing."
