"I wish I did a little more research before booking. This lodge used to be a hostel and still seems more like a hostel than lodge. It would be perfect if I wasn’t traveling with a toddler who wants to get into everything. Location is about a five minute drive from the beach. We saw a ton of deer. It’s a little ways to the shipwreck and lighthouse. Great for trail access. Overall, if you’re traveling with small children or folks who overheat easily, maybe not the best place. "Very nice, clean room with king bed, night stands with drawers, lamps, and multiple AC plug-ins. WiFi/Internet access was included at no extra charge. HVAC unit in room, if needed (we didn't need it). Room also had a large chest-of-drawers (i.e., lots of room for clothes, if you want to unpack) and a flat screen TV. Closet was larger than a lot of nice hotels where I've stayed. Room also has two vanity/sinks: one outside the in-suite bath with a mini-fridge under the sink, and another vanity/sink in the bathroom, which also has the toilet and tub/shower combo. The free breakfast was delicious with coffee, juice, and both hot and cold foods. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. It is easy driving distance from many great Napa Valley wineries. I highly recommend the Elm House Inn!"
