"Clean rooms and hotel. Excellent service at the restaurant. Couldn’t open the windows or use the balcony/deck because there was a very loud, constant sound coming from beneath the deck - maybe the HVAC system? Unbearably loud, 24x7. Upon checkout, I wanted to tip the chambermaid but realized only had US dollars. I asked for advice from the woman at the front desk and her response was that they had “No use for dollars”, her overall tone condescending, as if I was offering complete garbage. I realize it wasn’t ideal but I wanted to leave the chambermaid something rather than nothing. The negative interaction was a disappointing last experience with the hotel ."
