"Nice location, very friendly staff, Breakfast was especially good"

"This villa is spectacular. It’s views of the Ionian Sea with Mt. Etna in the background are unrivaled. The pool is saltwater and large. The patio is massive and there must be a dozen places you can’t sit, each offering something special. It has long tables for family dinners both inside and out. The property is totally private and even the clothesline is a lovely brick patio with a blooming bird of paradise and the fragrance of the sea. It is really a magical spot set for making family memories.Giani and Francesca, the caretakers, are lovely and happy to help with anything you need. Francesca’s lasagna is probably the best I’ve ever eaten. Her Tiramisu was up there as well. They are eminently friendly and helpful for anything you need.At this price, this is a great stay. However, a professionally run and managed property, it is not. The host was not particularly responsive and generally seemed uninterested in providing the slightest bit of support. Towels were old and worn and a general cleanliness of the house was lacking. Basic necessities (toilet paper, dish soap) were short until we asked for them. The only other downside is it is a bit far to places you might want to go - there is no nearby market or restaurant and downtown Syracuse is a good 40 minutes away. As others have mentioned, if you can move beyond the quirks of the place, this is a great value stay. You won’t find such a large property in such a spectacular setting at this price anywhere else."

"The menu was fresh but was also quite minimum. We were happy with it. We would happily recommend living with Salvo for visiting Syracuse. The location is well located in the city in a quiet neighbourhood, importantly it feels safe. "

"We had amazing time at Giardino del Sole.The rooms are nice and clean and were cleaned daily.The area is lovely,quiet and perfect for a relaxing break.Kids loved walking around the farm and spotting animals.We had dinner twice in the restaurant-very delicious food and very reasonable prices too.Staff is very attentive and friendly.Definitely recommend it!"

"This house was more than expected from the photos! Giorgio and Lucia the house managers were delightful and brought us fresh garden veggies and eggs from the chickens out back. The views from the house were breathtaking. It was spotless when we arrived and the beds were very comfortable. The wifi was good. It was about a 15 minute drive from major roads so very private and peaceful. I would recommend this property and would definitely stay there again when travelling in Sicily."
