"Good location but wouldn't stay again. Photos through Expedia must have been taken when the property was refurbished many years ago because the reality was a very tired hotel. Chips in the joinery, no exhaust fan extremely average small TV that was problematic to operate. Dirty carpet. No parking aside from pay-to-park council parking. Free overnight but limited to four hours between 8.30 and 5.30. No block out blinds. Terrible AC. Really noisy and a horrible screech from the water system...

"There was no light in the first part of the bathroom with basin. The door to the main part of the bathroom creaked abominable."

"Have used this motel style accommodation a number of times , although not 5* the property is clean and tidy and quite comfortable. The cutlery supplied has never affected me before but this time i brought my own bread for toast only to find no knives , this apparently was a normal event not one off but was inconvenient,"

"The free breakfast was terrible, ran out of food after 10mins and no plates cups or cutlery either, waited 15mins for a clean coffee cup just so I could make a hot drink. Service was terrible from the manager. Room was clean however the window in the room had no rubber seal around it so was dangerous if you had young children staying with you. The bathroom was so tiny you couldn't even sit on the toilet without hitting your knees on the vanity.i would say it is definitely not 4 stars more like 2...

"​We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burbury Hotel. The hotel and room were immaculate—super clean, fresh, and exceptionally well-maintained. ​Location-wise, it couldn't be more convenient. Nestled in the Realm precinct in Barton, it's just minutes away from Parliament House, the National Gallery, and Lake Burley Griffin. Having great cafes, bars, and dining right downstairs made getting around and grabbing a quick bite completely hassle-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Canberra...

"Beautiful architecture from the 1920s when Parliament House opened in 1927. Restored to perfection. All the staff were migrants and all outstandingly polite friendly and helpful and I loved Pixel the Labrador the ex sniffer dog who lives with the General Manager I believe It’s an elegant statement of a bygone era and well managed. It’s a credit to everyone from front staff to the GM Well done"
