"Our family had a wonderful stay at Mother Allie’s House in Plains, Georgia. The home has been beautifully restored while preserving so much of its rich history, making it a truly unique place to stay. Every room reflected the character of the house, and it felt like stepping back in time while still enjoying all the modern comforts of home.We visited with our two sons (ages 8 and 12), and the location was perfect for exploring Plains. We specifically traveled to learn more about Rosalynn Carter’s Butterfly Trail, and Mother Allie’s was the ideal home base. There was so much information shared about the trail and the history of the area, which made our visit even more meaningful. The property is conveniently located close to all of the important sites in town, making it easy to walk or drive to everything we wanted to see. If you’re looking for an authentic, historical experience in Plains, especially if you’re interested in the legacy of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter or traveling with children who enjoy history, we highly recommend staying here."
