We had a very nice stay at Modern Est. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the reception staff was very nice and helpful, and the breakfasts were great! Thank you to the staff for making us feel welcome and for the great restaurant recommendations.

Clean and good staff. The location is very convenient. The property is a little bit old. The door of the bathroom cannot lock and toilet lid is broken. But totally no problem and good stay.

Two-night stay

Very nice hotel, typical of what one would expect in Paris. Service was friendly at every interaction. The room has no air conditioning which meant opening the windows and tolerating the busy and noisy street action including police sirens. Location is great just across the street from Gare de l'est but that comes with the noise. Breakfast is good but not great. All told, I would stay there again.

This hotel is across the street from train station Gare de L’Est and has a metro stop outside its door with 3 useful lines, many inexpensive eateries nearby & in train station. Room was very clean, bed & pillows very comfortable. I paid extra for breakfast, even with limited selection it was very enjoyable & filling - I ate slice of ham, swiss cheese, yogurt, orange juice, mini chocolate & plain crossants, hard boiled eggs, coffee machine; there was also fruit cocktail, soft cheese, and 2 cereals with milk to choose from. Only negatives were tiny shower in single room option, and no english-speaking channels on TV. Took train from CDG airport to Gare du Nord, easy 5 minute walk to Gare de L’Est & my hotel if you take Ave Magenta exit door when you leave Gare du Nord. Overall I would tend to choose this hotel again for my next visit to Paris!

Overall, we had a nice stay. Room was fine except for no AC, but it had a fan. Windows kept the noise from outside from entering our room, which was nice. Staff was very kind and helpful. Location is not great due being near the station, numerous buses right outside, and a group that hangs out there until late a.m. - they were still there at 2:00 a.m. Good bargain hotel that was clean so I give it a thumbs up. Metro right outside, which was great and being near the station was not good due to folks hanging around, but it was nice when we had to take metro to CDG.

Our stay here was great. The room was clean and we had fresh towels every day. There is no air conditioning but we stayed here in October so it wasn't too hot and there was a fan in the room. The area around the hotel pretty noisy and busy even late at night but with the windows closed and fan on the sounds didn't bother us. Really convenient location to transportation - metro right outside and Gare du Nord just a few minutes walk away if you're taking the Eurostar. Staff was really friendly and held our bags for a few hours after we checked out.

駅前広場に面している。地下鉄の出口からほんの数歩で最高の立地。フレンドリーなフロントスタッフで、拙い英語であってもちゃんと対応してもらえて助かった。大きめなMonoprixまで歩いて5、6分。小さなスーパーやテイクアウトフードは近所に無数にありとても便利。夜中に温水ヒーターの中を流れる水音が気になる。シャワーの温度が低め、水量少なめ、シャワーカーテンがカビだらけで、水回りに問題あり。

Sehr schönes Zimmer mit 3 Schlafmöglichkeiten. Neu Schöne Möbel, modernes sehr gutes Bad, moderner Boden, sehr sauber, Wasserkocher und Kühlschrank und Ablagemöglichkeit. Zimmer etwas klein. Zentral aber ruhig. Frühstücksraum klein und ungemütlich. Schinken, Käse, gekochtes Ei, yoghurt, Croissant und Dosenobst. Eingang, Aufzug und Flur eng und alt. Sehr gut für kurzen Aufenthalt, weil die Zimmerausstattung modern und sauber ist

Considero que el hotel tiene una buena relación calidad precio. Fue una grata sorpresa. Lo mejor: la limpieza, la amabilidad del personal y las habitaciones recien reformadas. Lo peor: el calor (en las habitaciones no hay aire acondicionado, tan solo un simple ventilador), puede llegar a haber mucho ruido por las noches debido al tránsito de la calle. En general, lo recomendaría. Es una muy buena opción si quieres hospedarte cerca de la estación Gare de l'Est.

Kuvat on selkeästi väärät, tai sitten hotellissa on yksi remontoitu huone. Kulkumme huoneeseen kulki siivouskomeron läpi ja lattialla vilisti joku rotasta pienempi eläin, ehkä hiiri tai torakka. Vastaanoton palvelu oli vähintään ala-arvoista. Missään tapauksessa en suosittele avaamaan minibaaria tai avaamaan kaappeja. Tiesin ettei kyseessä ole erityisen hieno hotelli, mutta tarvitsin huoneen ainoastaan nukkumiseen, kun illalla missasin viimeisen junan. En suosittele edes yhden yön majoitukseen.
