"Perfect for a fantastic get away. After traveling through hotels, guest houses and hostels - this felt like a real home. All the necessary amenities. Host was very responsive and patient with our questions. We are recommending the Mill to our friends as a unique, private, totally relaxing vacation. Loved the hot tub! "A hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. The room was a good size and had a balcony with a hammock and lake view. The breakfast was good, with freshly cooked eggs. The food in the evening was a bit limited; only one choice of a main meal but there were numerous bar snacks and sharing platters. Not really a problem though, as there was a restaurant 5 minutes walk down the road. In all a very enjoyable stay"

"Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain! "
