The room was ready when we arrived. The guards at the gate had all the information I needed and my parking pass ready. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The pool was clean, the poolside bar was awesome. There was easy access to the beach. The condo was nice and quiet when it should have been. The condo is within easy access to shopping and entertainment!

Not impressed

The room was not cleaned, sand all over the stove, gunk in the dishwasher, the toilet wouldn’t flush without holding it down every time for 45 seconds, no water pressure in the shower, There was a hole in the wall. The fridge didn’t keep our items cold the first day and night then everything was frozen. Only basically sheets as covers for the bed.

Sweet!

Very cute and friendly place. Only complaint was that there was no salt, pepper, oil, or iron and ironing board. But the beach is very calm and everything was well kept up with and taken care of.

Great trip!

The room was exactly as described! The complex was great! We could walk to dinner, grab ice cream and shop without even having to move the car!! That was a huge plus with the teenager that wanted to get away at the end of the night. Already trying to figure out when we can come back!!

Much better this year

Was very impressed with improvements and renovations made by from last year to this year internally and externally. I was thinkings last year that things were getting run down. The check in on first floor much better. Nicer appearance too.

unhappy

room small (minor), however, bathroom needs help Complain to Vacassa that bathtub knob was broken. Husband able to temporary fix to be useable. No closets, but in storage room in our area there was a towel much like a broom handle to hang clothes. Shower was not clean, dirt in tub probably because of broken knob. Appeared that there had been a leek in rooms above because of bubble in ceiling over sink. Under sink was deplorable. Never anyone in office. By the window, it appeared to be broken tile. Building sadly needs help. Would not recommend the unit nor Vacassa. Will not be back. Light is needed by beds and directions on use of TV is needed.

Rethink staying here if you are considering this property!

Very outdated. Bathroom is very tiny, the bathtub is EXTREMELY slick and very dangerous. The iron was scorched, with a hole in the side of the water reserve, and no ironing board. My wife was blowing her hair dry on our last night and it tripped a breaker. There was no safety plug, so we had no way to reset the circuit. The property makes you wear a neon orange bracelet. First off, we were there on business and don’t need to look like we’ve been out clubbing before a business meeting. Secondly it’s NOVEMBER, and there were less than 15 cars in the parking lot. Not many drunk college kids wandering in to use the pool, and La Vela is closed. Don’t ask for more toilet paper……NOT RECOMMENDED

Worst VRBO experience ever!

Booked property for two nights. Before 8 a.m. on second day was informed by onsite property staff that I had 30 mins. to vacate the unit as the unit was scheduled to have the windows removed. Spent hours on the phone and running around to find a last minute place to stay. Property management was rude and less than helpful. Was able to get another unit, but was not beachfront. Onsite property staff stated emails have gone out weekly for past month reminding them of window replacement. This whole experience has left me a bit "gun shy" in booking future stays with this management company.

Terrible rental agency

We could not stay at your rental. After trying to get in room with the code given for over an hour, waiting on hold for 30 min and no one from your team answering, the local office lady gave us another code that worked but room had not been cleaned. It was nasty and I wouldnt have stayed there after seeing they shape it was in. Worst experience ever with a rental! Its now 7am the next day and we are in a hotel. 5 different emails, messages and Chats with no responce from the rental agency!

TOP 612

Top of Gulf is like my 2nd home. I stayed in Room 612 this time which was not the norm for me. Only one complaint though. The refrigerator never got cold enough and the air conditioner didn't cool good. But, overall it was a nice room!!

Misrepresented and dirty

So when we first pulled into the property we noticed we didn’t see any balcony’s or anything. My reservation says my room has a balcony or patio and we get up there and it has neither. I message the property manager or whatever he is five times before I get a response m. He responds on Monday saying he’s been in meetings all day. Keep in mind I checked in on Saturday and emailed him several times over the course of three days. I didn’t even want to stay there but couldn’t find anywhere with openings on such short notice. Anyway we decide just to clean it ourselves and make the best of it. The toilet seat looks like it permanently has poop all over the back of it. Cleaning lady says she has an order in with maintenance to replace the seat. Didn’t happen while we were there. The beds are horrible. Rock hard. The room has a really weird smell like something rotten but mainly smell it when you lay on the beds we couldn’t find anything. The room was supposed to be beach view but it isn’t it’s parking lot view. Can’t use the pool it’s not heated like the other hotels around it. We left almost two days early on a five day trip. The final straw came when I finally got cold enough to pull up the comforter and to use it and their was what appeared to Cheetos or some kind of cheese residue on the bottom of the blanket along with some black stuff I think it was makeup. At this point I said enough is enough and we left. When I finally got ahold of the manager Monday he refunded the cleaning fee but said they wouldn’t refund for early checkout. However when I left yesterday I emailed him again and I have already emailed him this morning to get a refund on the nights I didn’t stay. He also didn’t feel the room was misrepresented by the pictures which is hilarious because my reservation confirmation specifically says I have balcony or patio and a beach view lol .We didn’t leave because we wanted to we left because of the disgusting state of the room and I obviously should not be charged for that. Also parking passes and arm bands are not included in room price. All this bein said I book I’m home away all the time and have loved every place I’ve stayed. I’d advise staying away from this one.

Older bldg, but enjoyed our stay

as long as you know going in it is an older bldg and rooms are fairly small, then everything is good. Enjoyed our stay. Clean, nothing wrong with room. I suggest sleeping on the couch instead of unfolding the couch bed.

Great condo for the price

Overall great stay at this condo. Loved the smaller resort size not as crowded. Loved the security. Also loved the location it's on the more laid back side on PCB. Few recommendations new pillows, more supplies in the kitchen, update condo and fix the water temperature. Got way too hot. Overall great stay for the price. What we expected.Would come back

You get what you pay for. Looking for a cheaper vacation, thats what you get :)

We stayed 3 nights, small place but again, you get what you are paying. I would recommend cleaning products for the room I could have used some in the bathroom and kitchen after the second day.

3 day vaca condo

Over all the vaca was good. The condo needs updating and the cleaning person should be held to a higher standard. We love top of the gulf. It's small and friendly and not to crowded. Wouldn't Wana stay in this condo for a long period of time but for 3 days it was fine.

We had a great stay

We stayed for 2 days. Easy check in. Great location right on the beach. Beautiful view from the room of the beach. The room was comfortable and adequate. It is an older property so the room could use a little up dating. All in all we were happy with our stay.
