Also, don't miss a visit to Volterra with its famous Etruscan necropolises and its characteristic and perfectly preserved historical center. In Pisa (47 km) you can admire Piazza dei Miracoli with the famous Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and the OPA Museum - or take a walk along the Arno river. Another city to discover is Lucca with its medieval and perfectly preserved city walls.
