"I gave most categories five stars because the staff was friendly, the room was nice, and the place in general was well kept. My issue was that either they had rented out a common area for a private party or the owners of the hotel were entertaining family. The second scenario sounds more likely because from about 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Easter there was a large group of people including many kids running and screaming around the place including the lobby and the breakfast dining area which would normally be closed at that hour. Clearly no one from the staff came and told the people that they had to keep the volume down and the kids under control which is what makes me feel like this was a gathering supported by the owner of the hotel or at very least the managers. Whichever the case may be, there was no consideration for the fact that we all paid to be there and be able to relax, sleep, or just enjoy our rooms without a barrage of noise. Noise. My room happened to be right next to the lobby so it was fairly unbearable."
