Packwood Lodge

"Stayed in lodge. Although property is dated, it was a lovely stay. Could sit outside in the evenings as there were a couple chairs and picnic tables. I have only two complaints…one would be easy to remedy…the pillows are flat pancakes and hard . Second was the air conditioner. Ours got the room cold but the Fan had only one speed and it was loud. The buttons were all broken down. It Was 90 during our visit so sleeping was a challenge."

"Great location! My son loved being next to the creek and seeing the wildlife. I enjoyed how quiet the space was and the surrounding views. The drives to the Paradise and surrounding trail heads weren't too far. House had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a summer trip to Mt Rainier."

"We had such a great stay! The host was incredibly sweet and accommodating, and the house was very clean and comfortable. We loved spending our days hiking and relaxing in the hot tub afterward. Such a beautiful and peaceful getaway—we would definitely stay again"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nest cabin. The owner/host Irene was very responsive, the cabin is very thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need and more. I forgot to pack a few items but found they were provided in the cabin so I was set! Loved the sauna and cold plunge, and the location is excellent with Packwood, the Goat Rocks Wilderness and the park entrance all just a short drive away. Highly recommend and would stay here again!"

"The cabin was clean, comfortable and well stocked with equipment for cooking full meals. The beds were comfortable. Sitting outside was a pleasure. The host, Whitney, is an excellent communicator and she goes the extra mile. Everything was clear and easy. The only thing what was a slight disappointment was that the river was completely dry - which, in retrospect, we realized might be the case in late summer every year. In spite of that, the view of the mountains was lovely. We highly recommend this cabin for a stay near Mount Rainier."
