Ocean view house

  • Welcome to Yarmouth! This cozy ocean-view home is just a short drive from the CAT Ferry, downtown Yarmouth, beautiful beaches, and the Cape Forchu Lighthouse. Relax on the newly updated deck with outdoor dining, a cozy propane fireplace, and stunning views of the town. In the backyard, gather around the fire pit under the stars. Inside, you’ll find a recently renovated bathroom and everything you need for a comfortable stay. DoorDash is available for added convenience.

    There is one room with a queen bed, and one room with a double bed. There is also a pull out couch that could sleep two people. The ceilings in this house are only about 7 feet tall, and it is a small home. Another thing to note is that it’s a tight fit for a truck in the driveway so you can either park on an angle or on the lawn. The house is close to the road. Also, we have been told that putting in 509 yarmouth bar road works better for the GPS :)

This little place was excellent Cute, clean, affordable and location was great. I would stay there again if I was back to Nova Scotia. Highly recommend it.

It was a great little place for a week stay, vacation in Yarmouth! Great view of the ocean and Yarmouth, right across from Yarmouth. Awesome deck and great place to spend time in. I want to stay there again someday!

This was a wonderful cozy place to stay. The view of the harbour and their outdoor space was beautiful. Liz and Garet were super helpful and kind.

Loved the location and view. The home is well equipped- everything you need. Loved that there was coffee and cream. Modern, neat, and a wonderful little retreat. Outdoor seating area was excellent.

Funky, cozy little cottage with a wonderful view of Yarmouth across the harbor. We were able to relax and unwind even though we could only spend one night. Convenient to the Cat in Yarmouth Harbor, but still felt like a quiet shoreside getaway.

The house is cute and cozy, with an amazing porch perfect for stargazing! We were a short drive away from shops and restaurants, and the view out to the water was nice.

Perfect for last night stay in Nova Scotia. Enjoyed watching the bay while sitting on the deck.

Kitchen was very well equipped. Ownwe was ver responsive when plumbing fix needed. Pet back yard was very handy. Close to town made business stay very convenient.

Only second time ever going to Nova Scotia. This was the first time on that side of the island. My wife and I and our dog really enjoy their stay here. Place was very clean. Very nice view. Everything is close by so if you need something at the grocery store or would like to go to the restaurant It is only around 10 minutes drive. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Overall, it was a very good place to stay. Garet was responsive, which meant a lot to me.Pros:-Location to the CAT ferry, Cape Forchu lighthouse and Rudder's which is a good place to eat if you like casual restaurants. Everything is close by.-Comfortable beds, nice living room and nice view to Yarmouth.-Easy check-out process.Cons:-I know other reviewers (in the guestbook) liked plants, but I don't really. They took up valuable spots to place your stuff in the bedroom.-Couldn't figure out how to use the TV, but the internet access was fine, so I used my own apps on my phone.-Bathroom needs a renovation, but was okay for a two-night stay.Garet gave me some good recommendations on places to visit and eat. If in Yarmouth again, I would consider his place.

Sweet spot

When we walked thru the front door ,the first thing my partner and I thought was how much it made you feel at home.We enjoyed the deck with the view of the water. It was well equipped in the kitchen and bathroom. The home was very clean however the only thing , which wouldn't be a problem for some but my partner has copd and he had noticed that the cleaner that was used, possibly Mr. Clean was causing problems for his breathing while he tried to sleep.Overall thumbs up and thanks to the owners for the opportunity to stay at this sweet little villa

Cute and mostly functional

Really enjoyed the deck and view from this house, and the inside is very nicely appointed with cute and clean furnishings. However, some of the necessities weren't entirely functional. I'm tall (6') and I repeatedly hit my head on the track lighting down the middle of the kitchen ceiling. The lighting in the main bedroom (which is charged with a cable and you have to unscrew the lightbulbs to charge them, and they're turned on by remote) didn't really work very well. The bones of the place are great, might just need a few small changes and it will be 5 stars! Certainly adequate for one night on our way from the Bar Harbor ferry up to Halifax.
