This was a beautiful inn located a block from the Main Street of Ouray and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious and the options for seating (porch, living room or dining room) were very nice. We really enjoyed our stay!

This is one of the best kept secrets in Ouray for housing. Skip the big name hotels and stay in a quiet and unique environment with great friendly staff and a gourmet breakfast to cap it all off. Close to everything. For the last 18 years, I make it a point to stay here when I visit Ouray.

Gem in Ouray

Beautiful home with lovely, spacious rooms and personal bathroom in the room. Lots of thoughtful ammenities.This was one of the cleanest places we've stayed. Enjoyed the home-cooked breakfast. Easy walking distance to downtown Ouray. Highly recommend.

I liked the style of the house and the decorations. I loved the concept of eating breakfast at the dinner table with other guests. My only complaint was that we did not know how to get tv stations on our nice TV. The instructions on the tv were not helpful. It was the inn keeper’s day off. We were given instructions on how to contact her if there were any problems, which we decided not to do.

We loved our stay at the China Clipper. So close to everything and it's tough to beat the setting. Kristin is a wonderful host and the breakfasts each morning were spot on and delicious. The room didn't have a view and was a bit spartan, but very comfortable. Nobody ever used the hot tub and being that it was shoulder season, it wasn't terribly busy. We would most certainly stay again.

My wife and I had an amazing several day stay at the China Clipper Inn. It reminded us of a Bed and Breakfasts you see in the movies. The Inn Keeper, Kristen and son Rafe are amazing hosts. They do their best to ensure a great experience. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast is incredible. You will not be disappointed. We are already wanting to plan a return trip.
