"Room was spacious. Onsen was good. Great dinner at restaurant nearby. Staff is not 24-7 at the hotel. Self check-in and check-out at the machine, everything is self-served. Enjoyed quiet environment at the hotel for 2 nights. Good for refreshing trip."

"I was a little wary staying at a shipping container hotel, but I was blown away by this place. Really everything was perfect about it. The room was spotless and had all the amenities you could need.The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were prepared to deal with a language barrier. It even has laundry and free light meals that were quite good! And all for a great price. Next time I'm in Karatsu this will he my go-to."

"We love the decor. I was blessed to run into an older woman who showed me some of the phongraphs and music boxes in the lobby. They have an old Toyota car out front that is beautiful. The coffee area was a nice place to take a break and read. We stayed in the traditional room which had tatami mats and futons. The air conditioning worked great fighting the Kyushu humid summer. The only drawback was the water pressure. Overall it was low and I think they rely on the hot spring for water so it...
