Overall love the location. The only issue was having so many bugs on our door and inside our room. We avoided to step outside the room to make sure we don’t get more inside.

Gateway to Machu Picchu and an excellent place to acclimate to the high altitude. Better than staying the first couple of nights in Cusco.
The side streets of this town are gorgeous and reminded me a little of Venice. Walking up and down the town was a lot of fun and always provided a fun experience. I’m so glad we took a full day here to explore and hike and enjoy the town!
Ollantaytambo is a wonderful city to spend a good amount of town in. We were there for the 140 year celebration and the surrounding Quechua Villages were all attending in full color, dancing and singing. It was a major spectacle of delight.
Loved the old stone city and water flowing in small channels along the streets.
We ate at a vegetarian restaurant across from the fortress. The view at night was gorgeous.
