"A wonderful historical building, but lacked some of the qualities and facilities you would expect from a high class hotel. The staff were not particularly welcoming or helpful. There was nobody willing or available to help us with luggage. The room lacked basic communities like a kettle or a coffee machine. The restaurant is in a wonderful room but the staff were not particularly attentive."

"Charming hotel in a great location. Lovely staff and very comfortable room with a private garden. Walking distance to all the historic areas. Would definitely stay here again! "

"When we arrived we had to wait some time for anyone to come to reception to check in. Room was ok but the floor was pretty grubby. We had no hot water, we told them & she said the plumber was working on it. We did get hot water not long after, then our air conditioning wiuldt work. It was about 30 degrees so pretty hot. We told them & we went out for a drink & by the time we got back it had been fixed. So pretty good service. Breakfast was very good. "

"I loved the glamping tent, it had everything I needed. Nights were cold in May so I appreciated the wood stove and unlimited free firewood. Staff were very helpful and friendly."
