"The hotel has only been opened for two months. It's a lovely facility with beautiful rooms, furnished with crystal glasses in case you have some wine, lovely tea cups and a stocked mini bar with beverages. The hotel has a private walkway to the Citadel, and it is located in the city center with several outdoor/indoor restaurants all within a large outdoor market. Pool on the top floor, and a restaurant in the hotel. Highly recommend."

"What a great place to stay on central Gozo. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly, from those cleaning the rooms to those serving breakfast. Wonderful. Breakfast itself was excellent. "We were absolutely delighted with our choice of where to stay. The breakfast was plentiful and I would recommend eating dinner in the restaurant, the food was extremely good and excellent value. Xaghra centre with its church and other restaurants is only about 5 minutes walk away. We visited the temples, windmill and Xetti caves. We always found a parking space outside the hotel. We were lucky with the weather and used the pool area. Xaghra is an ideal spot for a base to visit the island if you hire a car. We did also use the bus to Victoria."

"The Carob B&B is an absolute must-stay in Gozo! Matthew and Clementa have clearly poured their hearts and souls into creating such a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere from arrival to departure. It’s the perfect sanctuary. You can spend the day exploring the island and then unwind by the pool. The location is great: it’s an easy 15 minute walk into central Victoria, though in the summer heat, taking the 306 bus down the road or calling a Bolt is super convenient. Our room had a breathtaking view from the balcony, and our only regret was not booking a longer stay. I’d recommend staying at least three nights to really take in Gozo. We will be recommending The Carob to friends and family and hope to return ourselves soon!"

"The layout of the property was excellent, plenty of space, lovely pool, local amenities good - David’s Bakery, Greens Sports Bar had excellent evening meals. Bedrooms spacious and beds comfortable. We hired two cars as we wanted to be able to travel around the island with three young children . The only disappointment was that the kitchen was not well equipped for a family of 7. More cutlery is definitely needed. One sofa had a hole in the cushion, we used a throw to cover, but it’s sad when the down stairs furnishings are tired."
