"The hotel is excellent especially the hotel staff. Although we were late, the shuttle bus was still searching for us in the train station. He also led the tour for star watching at night and it was amazing. The hotel is really traditional and the meal was so good. We loved the outdoor and private onsen. Environment was exceptional peaceful in the forest."

"The room was super comfortable and roomy. The soaking tub in the bathroom was amazing because you could have it hot all the time. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. You should note that some of the rooms are not close to the soaking pools or the restaurant. You have to go through a locked door to the street, walk for 5 minutes, enter another building for the soaking pool and restaurant. This place has one small pool for soaking so if you're looking for an onsen experience it...

"Decent cheap hotel with friendly staff, but could do with a refurbishment. Not close to the city centre but 10 minutes' walk from another JR station that gets you into town easily enough. Did not try the onsen on-site so cannot comment on that."
