Historic Inn Turned Luxury Rental! w/ New Hot Tub

Welcome to "The Maine House"! Built in 1880 as Ogunquit's first School, this new luxury rental is located 2 blocks from the heart of downtown Ogunquit and 5 blocks from the beach. The former historic Inn consists of 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, two living spaces and a fully remodeled kitchen. PLUS a brand new hot tub for guests. Great for larger groups, family gatherings or celebrations with friends from all around.

Guests have access to the entire property - including 6 designated parking spots.

I am available 24/7 for any guest needs. My primary goal is to provide a pristine vacation rental, but beyond that I enjoy sharing local recommendations or assisting with anything you may need during your stay. I love Ogunquit and Southern Maine and hope to provide an entire Maine experience while guests are at the property. If you prefer no contact, that is fine too! Whatever your group prefers is great.
The house has few rules as I want my guests to truly enjoy themselves, but the most important rule is you MUST keep hot tub locked at ALL TIMES. This is a safety feature that must always be followed by guests. Failure to keep hot tub locked, when not in use, will result in fines and possible rental termination.

Great house! It’s walking distance from everything—cafes, restaurants, shops and the beach. It was the perfect amount of space for my family and the large living room allowed us to play some really fun games. Would definitely stay here again!

Girls trip

We had the best stay at the Maine House. We were a group of 7 college roommates getting together for our annual reunion. Each of us had our own bedrooom and bathroom to use. The common space and outdoor space was so nice and perfect size. The house is so close to downtown and walkable to restaurants, bars, shops and marginal way. We will be back!

Great place to walk to the shops and beach. House was clean, well stocked and beds were comfortable. We had 15 in our party and we had plenty of room. We booked agin for next year already.

Wonderful Stay!

My group and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! Molly was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The location is fantastic- just a short walk into downtown- and the house itself is beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and allowed everyone their own private space. If/when I book another trip to Ogunquit, this property will be at the top of my list! I simply cannot say how much we enjoyed staying here.

We had a family reunion with 11 people at the Maine House. This historic house was loaded with luxury and the property manager (Molly) was absolutely the best! Communication was great. Would highly recommend this property for any family gatherings.

Perfect for Large Groups

We had a wonderful stay at The Maine House. We traveled to Ogunquit from Texas for a friend’s wedding, and it was the perfect location for our group. There were four couples, and we all had plenty of room in the house. The amenities were fantastic, and the house was decorated beautifully.

The perfect place for our retreat.

We are a group of 7 - from Colorado, Wisconsin, England, North Carolina, the Cape and Boston. We get together once a year for a few days of fun. The Inn was perfect for 7 women all 60+. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom which was appreciated. The living room was large where we could all chat & laugh. Also, the dining room table seats 8. We would love to go back sometime.

Girls Weekend

We really enjoyed our long weekend in Ogunquit at the Maine House! 13 Adult women slept comfortably. The location of this property is ideal for us! Walk to shops, Marginal Way, Perkins Cove and the beach. The hot tub was awesome and loved relaxing on the front porch. Molly was so friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Amazing Girls’ Weekend Stay!

Perfect Place to Celebrate

We rented this space to celebrate a 40th birthday and could not have found a better place! Each guest had their own private bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen, living room and sun room allowed us to gather comfortably as a group and the outdoor space and hot tub were a huge hit! The location was ideal, just a short walk into town and all Ogunquit has to offer. The house was clean and well stocked for our needs. Highly recommended for groups of family and friends!

Beautifully cared for property!

Our extended family had a wonderful stay at “The Maine House.” Upon our arrival the house was spotless! Every bedroom was decorated in a lovely fashion. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were first quality. The host, Molly was very attentive and had the house fully stacked, with supplies for cooking and dining. First class stay!

The Perfect Spot!

Lovely house and perfect for our annual get-together of seven college girlfriends celebrating 54 years of friendship. 80th Birthday Weekend

House was perfect for my MIL's 80th birthday celebration! House was very clean and updated, but still has its historic charm. Loved that most bedrooms had their own bathroom, especially with 11 of us sharing the house. We didn't spend much time in the outside areas of the house due to the time of year, but plenty of patio seating in the back as well as the front porch. Would definitely rent again!

Fantastic Ogunquit Stay

Our extended family of 11 (including kids age 9-12) had a lovely stay at the Maine House. The house was comfortable and felt like home, a great space for a big group. Very clean and nicely decorated. The house had everything we needed for our stay and the location was perfect to explore the area and walk to town and the beach. Communication with Molly was easy - she was very responsive and helpful. She even left craft supplies for our kids - above and beyond touches. Simple check in and check out. Highly recommend!

Best Ogunquit offering for a large group!

This house tops the rest! Not only are there bedrooms for everyone - with separate baths and AC controls - there is still lots of indoor living space for a large group to gather PLUS an abundance of outdoor porch and patio spaces:-) We invited another family over for dinner and had seating for 28!! The parking lot provides easy access without shuffling cars in a driveway, walkable location to ice cream and beaches! Stay here and have a great family vacation! like we did!!!

Memorable stay for our group of 9

Wonderful house, full of charm inside and outside. We were a group of 5 adults and 4 kids ages 4 to 10. Everyone enjoyed. We still had rooms to spare. When we arrived, the house was very clean and we felt immediately that this was a great pick for our stay in Ogunquit. The host is also dedicated and very responsive. Excellent communication from start to finish. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. Recommended without hesitation.

Perfect stay at The Maine House!

The Main House was perfect for our weekend trip to Ogunquit! We had 13 adults and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in, plus plenty of bathroom space for showering, etc. We used the kitchen multiple times and it had every thing we needed and the living room space was perfect for hanging out with lots of seating for a large group. We also enjoyed the outdoor table and hot tub! Such a treat! We were able to walk downtown for dinner and drinks, which helped save on Uber costs. Molly was so well connected to Ogunquit businesses and had lots of great recommendations. She also helped us get a reservation at a restaurant we had our eye on that wasn't taking reservations during the off-season. 10/10 would recommend and we hope to be back!
