"The dinner was very memorable and I would give it 10/10. However, the room we stayed in feels very dated and not very well maintained. There were brown spots on the walls and the beds were not comfortable to sleep in, and the air conditioning is on and off so me and my husband were not able to have a good sleep at night time. We do appreciate the big room and the nice in suite hot spring experience though. Staffs were nice but always really busy so you can feel them rushing through to help you so they can attend to other things after. Overall we enjoyed our stay!"

"Our stay was an absolute pleasure, a truly authentic Japanese countryside retreat. Nestled on the outskirts of a small village in Kyushu’s breathtaking rural landscape, the property offers a peaceful and experience. Our traditional Japanese-style room overlooked a beautiful garden, with a stream flowing just beyond it. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond throughout our stay to ensure we were comfortable and relaxed. We chose to have both breakfast and dinner in our room, though meals can also be taken in the communal dining area. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, and the team was happy to accommodate some food restrictions. The rooms do not have private showers, but the property features four private onsens, each with its own unique character, where you can enjoy a soothing volcanic hot bath followed by a shower in complete privacy. The rooms themselves are spacious, and designed for relaxation, sleeping on comfortable futons that are set up by the team after dinner. With Mt. Aso and the surrounding parks just a short drive away, this is the perfect base for exploring nature, slowing down and recharging."

"Clean and spacious traditional style room. Toilet was somehow a bit too small though, not particularly comfortable to use. Basin (for hand washing after using toilet) was then on the other side of the room which was a bit inconvenient. Hot spring facilities were at a different building (much newer and modern) which were 2 mins walk away. That was a slight problem when it was raining heavily when we were there. Parking was not great for our bigger car (RAV4 size type SUV). Tight space and lot of guests made parking very difficult. During golden week, when we stayed there, dining options at night were very limited in nearby regions."
