"Interesting stay. Had fun lighting the fire and cooking our food over it."

"Excellent, large house with tatatmi mats. Comfortable beds. Lovely to be able to cook for ourselves and do laundry. Road is a little busier at night time than I thiught it would be. Remember earplugs or move into a room further away from road. The process for checking in required passports to be sent prior to receiving check in details. Standard process in Japan, but I was wary. Excellent communication. Comfortable and clean home in a lovely residential area away from the town. Tip:...

"The property is historic, yet well renovated, so we were comfortable. They also provide tea and cups of noodles at no additional cost if guests need a snack. The biggest bonus is that it's a traditional Japanese house in a historic part of town, so staying there is a travel experience in itself. The small intersection the house is located at is even on the front cover of a tourist handout at the local TI office. We highly recommend it. "
