We had a great time staying in ocean view. Lisa and Kai were great hosts, very informative and quick to respond to messages. We had no issues with anything!
Great location for an off-the-grid R&R vacation (with TV, Internet, etc.). Simple amenities in close-by town were good and Kai Lokis was tremendous - food and atmosphere. Wonderful sunsets, sunrises and night sky viewing of stars.
First time in a yurt and hope it’s not my last if they’re all like this!
Hosts were attentive and thorough.
Place was spotless with lots of amenities for what it is. Would definitely stay again.
We love the yurt. It has all the amenities, very comfortable and great location. Actually, for us it’s the best location possible for touring the island. The managers were very helpful and made our stay a wonderful experience. We love the Big Island and our stay at the Yurt here in Oceanside.
My stay was incredibly cozy, it was almost impossible to get out to visit the island ;)
Check-in was quick, but personnalized, with great tips on the must-sees of the area. Host is super responsive on the app, which is great for people without US phone service 🙋♀️
Highly recommend!
Our stay at the yurt was the best experience we could have hoped for. Lisa and Kai are wonderful hosts, very helpful, responsive and accommodating. The place had breathtaking views at sunrise, and in the night you can see the moon and stars from inside the yurt. Just about everything is provided if you plan on cooking/grilling. I'd 10/10 stay here again or recommend to a friend!
Although the remote location requires additional preparation, all well worth it. Affordability was whay made the amazing short weekend trip possible. Thanks to Lisa and Kai for making us so comfortable and well provided for.
Quite a lovely stay with beautiful sunrises and sunsets as well as chickens roaming around. I work online and had internet that was able to support zoom and teams meetings
Our first experience with a YERT! Comfortable upscale camping style accommodations. A great location for exploring the south and south west regions of the big island.
Our host Lisa met us when we arrived and walked us through the unit making sure everything was ready for us.
All in all a great stay and a wonderful experience.

1st time at a yurt. The room was nice. The place was in a more secluded area, but not far from highway access. Being far out, there wasn't a sewer system in place, so the toilet system took us off guard. Overall, nice place and staff was great to work with.
We were looking for a different Big Island experience (not a resort) and we got it here! Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The neighborhood is a drive from the beaches with some riff raff intermingled amongst the neighbors, but overall well worth the price! Owners Lisa and Kai were very helpful and available for all our questions and needs.
Rented the yurt to be close to the Volcano. Never had stayed in one before. It was great! Everything you need! Clean, comfortable, bed is comfortable, stars at night are beautiful!! Host was great! Good food and groceries right down the road if you dont want to cook. If Pele fires back up I will be back to stay!!
Very quiet location the host was very flexible and responsive. There is no kitchen but bbq has a burner on the side. And the yurt came with all the pots and pans you would need. The yurt it self if very spacious the sky light offers great star gazing from your bed and nice natural light in the day. It is not to far of a drive from amazing attraction like black sand beach and volcano national park. I especially loved the dogs and the cats roaming the property. Wonderful glamping 10/10

During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating). Lisa was a wonderful host who ensured we knew how to use the facilities, and I would definitely check in with her before your arrival to see what supplies are in your specific yurt (previous guests may have left gently used items or extra things behind - we left sunscreen and water bottles, for example).
We enjoyed our experience staying in the yurt! We had wanted to do this for a while, and when the opportunity presented itself, we jumped! The yurt was a great size for two people. It had a refrigerator and a microwave, and also a grill outside. There is electricity, but a different system of plumbing. There is water for showering, washing hands, and washing dishes, but there are two toilets, one for pee and an incinerator one for poo (I found this fascinating!). The neighborhood is on the slope of the mountain, so it does get a little chilly at night... it was in the low 50s both nights we were there, so bring appropriate clothing. There is a little heater available, too.
Beautiful view from our yurt, but it was not clear in the listing that the yurt had no running water or bathroom IN the yurt. We had a separate private bathroom a short distance from the yurt with 2 toilets, one being an incinerator type (A little complicated, but doable), a shower, and a sink. All dishes had to be taken from the yurt to the bathroom sink to wash them. There was bottled water in the yurt for drinking. Good refrigerator. The yurt is about 10 minutes up the hill from the main highway. You might need to request a fan when arriving. We couldn’t find one that was promised.
Friendly and accommodating host even when we arrived super late. The Yurt was also so nice, the photos don’t do it justice, was super clean and a comfy bed. Great stay and affordable price. Would stay again.

Yurt was very clean, and well appointed with dishes, cups, silverware, coffee & sugar packets. At arrival, host showed us how to use the camping type toilet & separate incinerator toilet. Also gave us some suggestions on things to see in the area, and popular bakery 29 minutes away. Highly recommend if you’re staying in the area
