"Booked a superior room and really impressed. Comfortable superking size bed. Two comfy chairs, a dressing room and a brand new shower room. Coffee maker with 4 pods supplied each day too. Breakfast let it down a bit. Fried eggs dried up. Maybe it was just timing. Everything else ok. Pool excellent."

"We recently stayed for three days in this recently refurbished hotel. We stayed in Room 210. We found the room spacious and in a very good position overlooking the main thoroughfare in the shopping and restaurant area. It was during an exceptional heatwave and the air conditioning was superb in our room and throughout the hotel.It is an elegant hotel and quiet. We would particularly like to mention the staff at breakfast, at the bar and reception. In particular whilst we were there I also needed to carry out some work but needed a larger table in my room. Through the excellent and diligent attention on reception by Nijo Bastin the table and chair arrived very promptly. In fact, within minutes of my request. Also I needed some printing done and this again was dealt with extremely efficiently by Nijo and Sharon. Whilst we did not dine at the hotel we did have the breakfast each day and it was excellent. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay made even more pleasant by the staff. Needless to say, the Hotel is very centrally placed and is an extremely short distance from the main railway station. It was only a few minutes to walk along straight and level pavements to arrive at the hotel. The only thing we did not like was the TV. The remote was very temperamental making it very hit and miss in turning on the channels."

"The most beautiful place to stay and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Just a few things that I thought needed changing: only one pillow per person and only one bath towel and one other towel in the room. I know there was a heatwave but it’s a beautiful old building with only one small opening window in the rooms so a decent sized fan would have been appreciated (not the tiny one provided) and maybe some bottled water. We did however enjoy our stay and would happily return"

"Excellent room and can’t fault the welcome and service of the staff. Stayed here with my daughter for the weekend and felt safe and looked after. Food was excellent and shops easy walking distance. There was a music event happening nearby when we arrived which worried me but it couldn’t be heard from the room even with the window open."
