Welcome to Sail Away! This renovated, handicap friendly three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath vacation escape is just a short walk from the serene Yaupon and Oak Island beaches. A short 3-minute stroll will have your toes in the sand at the public beach access. Sail Away is equipped with a convenient ramp entrance and a first-floor handicap friendly master bedroom that includes a large walk shower with a ramp to accommodate wheelchairs. Moving to the second level, the first upstairs bedroom offers a queen bed with en suite bathroom, and the third bedroom with two twin beds and a half bath shared with the upstairs hallway.
As you enter the home, you are greeted by gorgeous and bright natural light, vaulted ceilings with an open concept kitchen, living and dining area. There is a wraparound sun deck with patio chairs and rockers for hanging out and viewing the island surroundings. There is plenty of comfy seating for everyone to enjoy visiting and relaxing. A great kitchen and bar area for cooking up your favorite seafood dinner with some local fresh catches. Wake up and brew a cup of coffee or tea as you read the morning news with the sounds of island wildlife in the background. Four smart TVs are also included for your entertainment. A nice, spacious, shady yard to enjoy grilling out and relaxing after a long day by the beach. Outdoor amenities such as an enclosed outdoor shower with hot/cold water.
With new renovations to this beach cottage, it is sure to be a delightful haven for your next vacation. The Oak Island area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more; the choice is yours. Please note, this offer is only available for stays between April 1 and October 31.
Please Note: Linens are included with your reservation and contain the following: flat and fitted bed sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths.
As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7-night minimum with a mandatory Saturday-to-Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons.
