Very comfortable house to stay at! Cozy covered patio where we sat and had our morning coffee every morning during our stay. It was close to New River Gorge for hiking. It was a wonderful experience all around!

We took the trip to celebrate my 40th birthday, just my husband and myself. It was a great little getaway that we have already talked about renting again. It's central to a lot of different hiking areas and a great walking trail. We loved the ability to just hang out in the house, in a super quiet neighborhood, and do our own thing.

Perfect location

This property is right where you want to be. Great central location to the areas finest spots. We really enjoyed our stay in Oak Hill and the surrounding areas. It was so nice to come back to the house after a long day of adventures. It is in a quiet neighborhood and has everything you could need.

Quiet neighborhood, convenient location to New River Gorge and Beckley. House exactly as listed, comfortable and clean. Did not cook in the kitchen, so I can't speak for how well stocked it is, but rest of the house was great.

Close to lots of things to do. Could have stayed a couple more days to hike more. Very quiet house in a quiet neighborhood. Host was exceptional in returning messages promptly.

We enjoyed our stay here.The house was clean and updated with comfortable beds and furniture. It is close to lots of great outdoor adventures. The host responded to questions quickly and was so nice to leave us farm fresh eggs! We are coming to white water raft in the summer and hope to stay here again!

Great home with lots of extra amenities not experienced in our other travels. The mattress was so comfortable and perfect after a long day of hiking. Lots to do in the area. Steven gave great recommendations for meals in their area too.

The place was cute and clean. Everything was in working order. The host was quick to respond to my questions. Their is a weird transition in the center floor where the living room and kitchen meet the center. It's a trip hazard for sure, but once we got used to it, it was not a big deal. I would not recommend this property for the elderly because of that. The house is cute, but the neighborhood is questionable. But you are 15 minutes away from everything you need (grocery store, restaurants, & the New River Gorge & Gauley. We were in town to white water raft, so the location was good.

Great Stay

This is a great place to stay to explore the New River Gorge area. We were no more than 15 minutes to hiking, ATV rides, Bridge Walk, and plenty of restaurants. We enjoyed the recommendations the host left for us. The neighborhood is so quiet and the house was so clean. The kitchen was well stocked and it was great to have a washer and dryer. Plenty of space to spread out. We had a great time.

Clean and very comfortable. Nice kitchen (Stephen even had some fresh eggs for us). Nice to have W/D. Close to all visitor centers for New River Gouge. Not far from Greenbrier, Beckley, and Capital. Highly recommend.

Charming Spot!

My husband and I stayed at the Apollo Reed for a trip to explore New River Gorge. We loved the central location. Everything we wanted to do was within 20 minutes! The place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Host went above and beyond with the helpful guest guide book and responded so fast anytime I had a question. Highly recommend!

Cozy place in the perfect location!

Our family spent spring break visiting New River Gorge National Park and chose this place based on the reviews since many of those people were also visiting the park. The location was perfect- quick drive to Fayetteville, The Bridge and the park/playground for the community. We used Ace Adventures for our "excursions" and the proximity was super easy for us to get to. The house itself is absolutely perfect- the beds are very comfortable, the main living areas are comfortable and laid out well also. The porch swing was perfection for the morning coffee and for after a long day of hiking it was great to relax with a cold drink. We were able to reach the owners with some questions and they were quick to respond and were helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would 10/10 return!

We recently stayed at this fantastic house for a weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the property exceeded our expectations. It was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with a cozy yet spacious feel that made us feel right at home. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to prepare family meals with ease. We especially loved the large dining area, which was perfect for our game nights and shared dinners. The living room provided ample space for everyone to relax, and the large windows let in plenty of natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Communication with the host was seamless. They provided clear instructions and were quick to respond to any questions we had, making our check-in process a breeze. Overall, this house was the perfect retreat for our family. Nice home away from home

The home was nice, I did notice a few small things cleanliness wise that could have been better, it definitely wasn’t gross or filthy just some dust bunnies under some of the furniture and the fridge had a few crumbs that’s why I still gave it a 5 for cleanliness as I’m sure my home is worse lol. It had everything you’d need for cooking a meal and shower supplies. Close to the national park, which was wonderful. But let me tell you about the bed. Now I can’t attest to the queen that my kids slept on but the king bed was magical. I even reached out to the owners in request to where they got the mattress and topper that’s how amazing it was. I would definitely go back. Also nothing to do with the property but if you are in the area the Secret Sandwich Society is a must for lunch/dinner it was so good we had it twice during our 5 day stay and wanted to have it again. I would go back to WV for the Adams sandwich from there and the homemade pickles alone.
