"As expected and per the listing and photos. Close to the train station, restaurants, grocery stores etc. There is a communal kitchen which we did not use but was cleanish with some dishes and shared fridge. You could reheat food but don't expect to make a meal. We had a private double room that was relatively clean and would stay again. The cafe on site was closed for renovations although the listing did not offer any indication that it was closed."

Grandezza Hotel Luxury Palace

"5 stars overall, an exceptional hotel, but one important security concern For me, the Grandezza Hotel in Brno was a 5-star experience all the way. The location, atmosphere, service and overall quality were excellent, and it is genuinely one of the best places I have stayed. However, there is one issue I feel strongly about, I mentioned it to the reception team when I checked out: hotel security in the evening needs to be improved. I was born in Brno & know the city well. Brno & Czechia generally, feels extremely safe, but we live in a fast-changing world, there is naturally a different atmosphere in any city between daytime and late evening. When returning to the hotel in the evening, The hotel has no security personel. More importantly, the lifts do not require a guest room key card to access the accommodation floors. This means that, in principle, someone could enter the hotel and travel to the guest floors without any additional access control. For a hotel of this standard, I believe secure key-card access to the guest floors should be essential. On this particular point alone, I would give the security aspect zero stars. That said, I do not want this concern to take away from what was otherwise an outstanding stay. If the hotel improves this one area, I would have no hesitation in describing it as one of the very best hotels I have stayed in. A fantastic property a genuine 5-star experience overall but I simply hope management takes the security concern seriously."

"The room was clean and smelled lovely. It took a little while for the air conditioning to start working, but once it did, it worked perfectly. "I was please about the location. I appreciated that a grocery store and coffee/bread store were nearby. The city center was a 15 minute walk. The fact that the hotel offers a small "store" with food and beverage items was great. After a long day in the heat it is nice to purchase a beer on the way up to my room. I am unsure of room cleaning schedule but the floors should be swept and mopped at least as a final clean before a new guest arrives. Everything else was great."

"A beautiful, modern hotel located opposite Spilberk Park, just steps away from the Old Town. Large parking lot and also a garage which we did not use. Huge Reception area which made us expect a large room as well. But no, our room was very small with very limited closet space. No balcony, although I would have liked to have one. I was told that they were sold out. The restaurant by the Reception desk is very pricey... and very empty. The other restaurant downstairs was good and decently priced. Breakfast was excellent."
